Cornelius Evazan is a minor antagonist in the Star Wars saga, primarily known for his brief but memorable appearance in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
He is portrayed as a disfigured and aggressive doctor who is wanted in multiple systems for his violent and unethical medical practices. Evazan is introduced in the Mos Eisley cantina on Tatooine.
In the cantina scene, Evazan confronts Luke Skywalker, threatening him alongside his accomplice Ponda Baba, asserting his dislike for Skywalker. Obi-Wan Kenobi intervenes, defending Luke and ultimately severing Ponda Baba's arm with his lightsaber, thus ending the confrontation.
